Monthly meeting, held the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30PM, will now be hosted at McCalls BBQ and Seafood, 10365 HWY 70 West, Clayton, NC 27528. “Attendance at our monthly meetings has nearly tripled since this time last year; there has been standing room only,” said Johnston County GOP Chairman Andrew Tyree. “People are fed up with the liberal democrats in Raleigh and in Washington, and I expect attendance to continue to grow now that the election season is in full swing. We simply need more room.” The first meeting at the new McCalls BBQ location in Clayton will be Tuesday, September 14th, 7:30 PM. The guest speaker will be Republican National Committeeman and State Representative David Lewis (R - NC53). First elected in 2002, Lewis is serving in his 4th term in the North Carolina House of Representatives. He is as a current or former member of the Committees on Agriculture, Education, Education Sub-Committee on Community Colleges, Election Law and Campaign Finance Reform, Finance, Insurance, Judiciary 3, Military and Veterans’ Affairs, and Transportation.
